The Amazon Echo is a big deal for the Amazon.com Inc. (NASDAQ:AMZN) as it can buy from the online retailer for $79.99 (roughly $25 more than a standard bottle of Coke).
Amazon is not alone in its ability to buy goods on Amazon.
The company has been expanding its reach in the online marketplace by offering the device to more customers.
In December 2016, the company launched the Echo Dot, a device that can control audio devices like an iPhone, iPad, or Android device.
Amazon bought the startup in 2018 for $775 million.
A year later, Amazon introduced the Echo TV, which allows customers to listen to music and movies through the Amazon Echo app.
Amazon also launched a series of TV shows and films, including the popular “Arrested Development” and “The Flash.”
In 2018, Amazon also expanded its ability for customers to buy and sell items through the Echo Store.
The app allows Amazon shoppers to buy, sell, and swap in-store items like gift cards and digital gift cards.
The Amazon Store also offers products like Amazon’s “Get Fresh” service that allows customers who shop online to get fresh produce delivered to their homes.
